It wasn’t always the case, but a year crawling inside a bottle can change anyone. Thank God I had dropped Troy off at school before I crashed my truck. That certainly made waking up handcuffed to a gurney easier. Though it didn’t help the hangover. Or my ego.  Both were interrupted by aliens coming down and scooping up half the planet. One run by an asshole of an AI based on my own personality.  The dungeon is brutal enough without the attitude.  The quests are insane, the NPC’s are worse. And somewhere amongst the chaos is my son, who I will stop at nothing to save. The same one that told me “I wish it had been you that died instead”.
