Privacy Policy

This page describes how PageMarrow handles your data. It is a plain statement of our privacy practices, not legal advice. We try to collect as little as possible and to be honest about the third parties we rely on.

What we collect

  • Email address — used for magic-link sign-in. We do not store passwords.
  • Your content — the ratings, reviews, shelves, and lists you create on PageMarrow, associated with your account.
  • Product analytics — usage events via PostHog Cloud EU (hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) to understand how the site is used.
  • Error telemetry — crash and performance data via Sentry, with personally identifying information scrubbed before it leaves your browser or our servers.

What we never store

PageMarrow is a discovery and review platform, not a reader. We never fetch, store, frame, or proxy the actual text of any book or chapter. Links to read a work are plain outbound links to the legitimate source platform.

Sub-processors

We share data with the following service providers to operate PageMarrow:

  • Supabase — Postgres database, authentication, and file storage.
  • PostHog Cloud EU (Frankfurt) — product analytics.
  • Sentry — error and performance monitoring.
  • Resend — transactional email (magic links, notifications).
  • Cloudflare (R2 and CDN) — cover-image storage and edge delivery.
  • Upstash — rate-limiting to protect the service from abuse.

We maintain data-processing agreements (DPAs) with our sub-processors.

Your GDPR rights

You can access, export, and erase your data. Account and content erasure is available as a self-service option in your account settings. On erasure we anonymize your account so your reviews and ratings are no longer linked to you. For requests made by email, we aim to respond within 30 days.

Cookies and consent

We use cookies that are necessary for sign-in and security. Visitors in the EU/EEA see a consent banner governing optional analytics cookies. You can decline optional cookies without losing access to the core site.
