About

Rewritten as of 7/5/2026 Disclaimer: A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones are the creations of George R. R. Martin. This is a fan story set in his world, taking place after the events of Season 5, which some refer to as the ending, and incorporating elements from the early plots of the unfinished books that did not make sense to me, in my opinion. Welcome! This story was inspired by the many amazing authors who have expanded upon or created wonderful worlds I love, especially A Song of Ice and Fire. While I admire Martin's incredible world-building, I wanted to explore a different direction. This is an original character (OC) story about Robb Stark. In this timeline, Robb dies in a stable accident early on, but he is replaced by a reincarnated fan and veteran: a history professor who knows the world and its future. This is not a tech-uplift fic—expect modest improvements in tactics, engineering, logistics, and sanitation, but no guns, trains, or miracle medicines. The Old Gods and some others, as well as magic, play a bit more in this story, adding a bit of high fantasy. One last thing on the whole magic thing: we have fire witches like Lady Melisandre who can summon fire, shadow assassins, dragons, and faceless men, while Cersei gets zombies and wildfire. What does the North get? They worship the Old Gods; they have giants, wargs, and the old god magic of the First Men. Yet, they seem to get nothing. I plan to add my spin on this captivating world. The story follows a capable Robb who knows what is coming and intends to change history. Don’t expect the White Walkers to be the final threat, and if all goes according to plan, this story will exceed 300,000 words. I will also take a different approach to Westerosi politics. Some events and alliances in the canon never made much sense to me, so this story explores how things might unfold with a more experienced Robb, who has a clearer worldview and greater knowledge. He makes different decisions, including preparations for the arrival of dragons. Thank you for giving my fanfic story a glance. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
