The dimensions within which existence takes place. Soul: Mind. The source of thought, of consciousness. The means by which reality is observed. Body: Form. The means by which one interacts with the World. The substance from which reality is formed. Spirit: Life. The connection between Soul and Body. The anchor to the World. These are the foundational forces from which all of reality is formed, and when they take human form, they are given other names.  Conqueror.  War.  Famine. Death. Together, they are known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Though why anyone would think they'd ever need horses is a mystery. However, to themselves, they're just Chris, Thomas, Greg, and Andrew, four guys just trying to live life the best they can. Chris grew up knowing he was going to die, but when he did, he was surprised to find it wasn't the end. Thomas was just thinking he should get in better shape when a strange window appeared in his vision displaying a simple task. Greg was sitting in class when everything went dark and he awoke to a destroyed world with strange new abilities. Andrew was born a Beast, a being with abilities far beyond the average person, yet when a Hunting trip goes wrong, he begins to realize there's something more to what he is, something beyond the norm for even a Beast. They never wanted to destroy anything. All they wanted to do was live their lives, to be happy, or at least content. But the Multiverse doesn't let those born unique have normal lives. It focuses on them, and through coincidence and happenstance, draws them to have interesting lives. Unfortunately for the Four, happy, normal lives are far from interesting. As they're drawn out of their comfort zones and confronted with the dark and twisted sides of reality, the Four are asked one simple question: do you let this stand, or are you going to do something about it? Chris: Do we have to? Thomas: We have to. Greg: Fine, but if we're doing this, I'm going all in. Total destruction or nothing, baby! Andrew: *sighs* Why does it always have to be me? As you've probably guessed by now, this story has four main characters, and their stories begin separately before converging into one, essentially amounting to each one getting their own individual book before they get together. Possibly a questionable decision on my part, but I felt it necessary for the characters development, to give each one their own space to grow in. Also, since we're giving disclaimers, the sexual content tag should be more of a sexual situations tag. Yes, it happens, but no, I'm not describing it, so no smut chapters. Sorry to disappoint.
