About
[On Hiatus to Plan Next Arc] Burned out, Adeline died from overwork, chasing a dream she never achieved. After a brief meeting with twin gods, Adeline finds herself reborn in a corpse: a starving child abandoned in winter. Now called Asha, she tries to make a life for herself in an abandoned estate and learns magic from a boy in town. However, when the body's mother drives her away from the town, she is forced to go out on her own. Relying on her knowledge of the isekai trope, Asha seeks to become an alchemist, only to learn potions don't exist, and healing is the realm of the wealthy and powerful. What you should expect: > My writing style tends to be introspective, sensory, bittersweet, and emotionally grounded. > This story is in First Person POV. > I intend for this to be a "systemless" progression fantasy; this is not a LITRPG, so there are no stat sheets or level-ups. This is a slow life, but the protagonist does not have a cozy life straight from chapter 1. She builds up to it over time. > The first 26 or so chapters cover dark themes. Cozy life aspects begin to build up afterwards, although the protagonist will still face challenges. > Trigger/Content warnings (Abuse, Violence, etc) will be available when applicable. I will put a warning in front of the chapter, and a TLDR will be available on the next chapter. However, the story does contain dark themes as a whole. What not to expect: > No instant power or wish fulfillment > No stat sheets or level-ups > No harem or heavy romance focus > No power corruption arc Post Schedule Chapters are released 3 times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. After I've released 150-200 chapters, I intend to take some time to revise and edit the story so far and self-publish on Amazon. Cover art is by me.
