About
Age of Wonders: The Priests of Olo-Udu Book One For nearly two decades, Queen Edun, the White Lion of Nejari, has held an empire together with blood, sacrifice, and the weight of impossible choices. She is celebrated as the conqueror who united the kingdoms, yet whispered about as the woman who killed her own husband to wear the crown. Now the empire she built is beginning to crack. Favoured men and women beings born of gods and mortals are disappearing without a trace. The council grows restless. Old rivalries awaken. In the wastelands, ambitious chiefs gather strength, while within the palace, loyalty becomes harder to tell apart from ambition. Caught in the middle are Edun's children. Adim, the feared Warrior General, believes mercy is weakness and that kingdoms are forged through strength. Many already see him as the next ruler and the one most likely to plunge Nejari into darkness. His younger sister, Nneni, is everything he is not: warm-hearted, curious, and stubbornly hopeful. She dreams of a future where friendship matters more than politics, especially after meeting Asisi, a girl from the distant sea kingdom who quickly becomes the family she never knew she needed. But ancient prophecies have begun to stir. The priests speak of Six Wonders born beneath the same full moon children whose destinies will decide whether the coming age ends in ruin or renewal. No one knows who they are. No one agrees on what the prophecy truly means. As fear spreads across the empire, every choice carries a cost. A queen must decide whether duty is worth another sacrifice. A son must choose between power and compassion. A daughter must discover how easily love can become hatred. And somewhere beyond the eyes of kings and priests, something older than the empire is already watching. As the first shadows of the Dark Age descend upon Nejari, the greatest threat may not come from the enemies outside its walls but from the secrets buried within them. For in the Age of Wonders, prophecy is never as simple as it seems... and those destined to save the world may be the very ones who first break it.
