Book one is complete. A quick TL;DR pitch. System Apocalypse with group progression. Build Planning. A non-overpowered mc. A limited skill-slot System where having a single skill over your opponent could make a big difference.   A barrier mage mc who isn’t an Edgelord A sentient System that’s a character in its own right.  And no harem or cheat skills.   ~<>~<>~   Steven isn’t willing to go through the apocalypse alone. The apocalypse breaks the college sophomore out of a pit of apathy and into a world gone weird.  A dome covers the city of Anchorage, and bolts fall from the sky, twisting  and changing the things they hit.  And the System…the System is odd.  Its motives unknown, and its attitude rather  unique . It does make one thing clear to everyone.  They’re trapped in the city, and things are only going to get weirder.  But amid magic, rising factions, monsters, and a rather chatty System, Steven is sure of one thing.
