A giant earthquake shatters Rin's world. He is dropped into an unfamiliar territory along with Cid, a curly white-haired boy, who knows more than he tells. They are bound together by a device on their wrists. Mysterious entities has kidnapped Rin's siblings and Cid's siblings have gotten separated when they fell through the crack. Together the two of them need to work together to find their siblings and remove the device binding them together. Along the way they battle monsters, other beings and a secret entity that has been pulling strings from the shadows. They face many trails and uncover many secrets along the way to reunite with their respective siblings while facing the threat of the world ending.
