About
When demon-spewing portals plunge the world into chaos, John Woods is granted the worst possible ability for a socially anxious loner: in order to gain the power he needs to survive, he must make people think he's cool. It was, admittedly, an abnormal day for John. Leaving his house without being forced into it by circumstances or family was a rare occurrence, but it was a nice day in London, and he fancied a burger. Unfortunately, the end of the world came before he could take a single bite. Things got even stranger when text started appearing in the corner of his vision and information began shoving its way into his head. It didn't take him long to figure out what was happening, though. When he did something cool, he gained Aura points. When he acted lame, he lost them. Fighting monsters was cool. Running away screaming and crying is lame. Unfortunately, he's going to need a lot of those Aura points if he wants to spend them on the superpowers that might let him survive the apocalypse. Guess it's time to go fight monsters. ~~~ Expect a LitRPG Apocalypse with some dark humour, and quite a bit of straight up darkness. As meme-y as this premise and title may sound, it's not actually going to be full of TikTok brain rot. MC won't immediately figure out how to be the hypest aura farmer since Sung Jin-Woo. It'll take some time for him to be doing really awesome shit, but he'll get there. MC will get strong fairly quickly, but going from strong to God will be a longer process.
