Life aboard Gren Station 52589 is hard, but that’s normal for Fen. Her grandparents escaped the evil human empire in a broken down starship and now live as second class citizens aboard the frontier station. Fen and her wife Ma-Ren try to keep their heads down and survive in a place that is at best indifferent to them. When a mysterious AI arrives at the station, he discovers through Fen and Ma that not only does the broken down starship that brought them still work, but the AI pilot is still alive. He will stop at nothing to recover his lost brethren to try and resurrect his nearly extinct people. The only problem is that the gangsters that run the station found out about the starship as well, and they would very much like the ship themselves. Fen, Ma, and their ally Gord will have to maneuver their way out of the clutches of powerful gangsters as Fen learns just why they escaped the human empire in the first place.
