One with AI, spaceships, flying cars — the kind of future he used to read about, except real. For a second, he actually thought he'd gotten lucky and reincarnated into a sci-fi story. He hadn't. The sci-fi stuff is just what's on top. Underneath it, there are organizations and gods that have been quietly running things for who knows how long, moving pieces around like nobody's supposed to notice.
