And the governments of the world are now mere shadows of their former selves, clinging to any power they have left. Alexandra Summers was born into this world in the theocratic dictatorship that took over former Canada. Now an escapee and recent graduate of the monster slaying Hunter's Guild, she's finally gained access to the guide network and the upgrades it provides. Her dream is to become a named hunter like her hero Artemis and be strong enough to never be at the mercy of others again. The past never stays buried though and she's burned more than a few bridges to get where she is. Now she'll have to reap what she's sown while old enemies bring back past traumas and new tortures. All while fighting the eldritch horrors that haunt the world.
