Ten years after the beginning of the outbreak, a twist occurs right in the heart of the outbreak's origins. In this winter-covered apocalypse, factions are more than just Humans and Undead. The Undead remain as one faction, but not the Humans. Besides the survivors and the military, rebel and anarchist-based alliances make containment harder across the continent. Eventually, most of the two affected countries in the continent were closed off from the rest of the world.
