The story recounts an event in the life of Ishmael, a reclusive girl tormented by trauma, who is forced to face her fears. If she fails, there will be no salvation for her soul. Her entire ordeal is witnessed and judged by a massive white creature that watches her from beyond the mist. This is the first story in my "Tales" series, set in the same universe as Life in a Magical World, however, consider it an alternate story. So don't worry about spoilers or anything. Of course, some concepts from here will also be there, but that's something that doesn't affect it much. It's a short story with only a few chapters. So I hope you enjoy it.
