About
Attending college has its share of challenges, but when a talented gothic artist is killed and wakes up in a fantasy world full of monsters and magic, he will find that maybe his life on Earth hadn't been quite as difficult as he had thought. Gaellus is a world run by a game-like System, and Xander finds himself alone and reincarnated as a dryad. His new race has some potential, but is also very disconcerting since all dryads are female. Struggling to survive and come to grips with his new reality, he leans on knowledge from his previous life to help him survive, and figures that he might as well look cool while doing it. Unfortunately, people keep mistaking him for a dangerous necromancer. Events quickly spiral out of his control, and Xander will have to face down dangerous opponents, perilous secrets, overwhelming emotions, and even his own growing power if he wants to survive and eventually find a way back home. Book 1 is complete, and Book 2 is under way! ----------------------------- This is my first attempt at writing a full length story, but I am a forever DM and an avid (or even rabid) consumer of stories myself. This book will be full of magic, fights, chaos, and character development with an MC who becomes strong, but not wildly OP. Updates will be around 3 times a week with about 3k words per chapter. ----------------------------- What to expect: Moderately crunchy Hopefully humorous (including mouthy plants) Bloody battles and light gore Emotional trauma and development Real relationships What Not to Expect: Easy wins Harem Excessive Grinding
