Just a button that let him submit feedback. Then a healing potion failed because its recipe pointed to a deleted ingredient. A goblin spear had negative durability. A dungeon door opened into the wrong room. Eli discovered what no one else could see: The apocalypse had bugs. And bugs could be patched. Now every fix makes him stronger. Every patch creates Technical Debt. Every debt draws the Auditors closer: monsters built to erase unauthorized improvements. To survive, Eli will have to turn broken gear into weapons, useless classes into allies, a failing data center into a fortress, and bad System rules into humanity’s only chance. He won’t beat the apocalypse by out-damaging the strongest classes. He’ll maintain it better than its gods.
