About

Adam's life as a down-on-his luck college student goes from bad to worse when he's transported through a painting and into an alternate fantasy world. He quickly finds that he's gained the ability to steal people's skills – and souls – by painting their portrait in his tablet. It's the only defense he has against the ravenous monsters and suspicious locals he soon encounters. Unfortunately, rather than a reprieve from the melancholy of his life on Earth, this new world is just as disappointing. Corruption runs rampant, and the common people suffer. Adam judges his surroundings, and finds them...inadequate. Someone else may have thrown in the towel. Instead, Adam watches. He plans. And it doesn't take him long to start making moves that will shake society to its core. The denizens of the Painted World have no idea what's in store for them. -- What to Expect: A strong focus on character development. Progression elements of growing stronger and more important. A main character who uses a combination of his unique abilities and his wits to outplay his opponents. A fully fleshed-out fantasy world with history and intrigue. Some city building elements. Co-authored by KamikazePotato and Rafael Kaleen.
