Cass never knew she could stop time until a man pointed a gun at her grandma. In her world, one in a thousand people get super powers after experiencing a life or death situation. Cass had her chance years ago, but nothing came of it. Or so she thought.  Her whole life, everyone treated her like a zero with no ability to get powers; turned out, she just needed to save someone first.  Unwilling to follow the typical super route, she decides to fight crime on her own, even if it is against the law. But a mad scientist is turning her city into a battleground and the government is searching every corner of her neighborhood to find the secret vigilante they know is out there. Cass must decide what matters more: keeping her secret or saving the city- maybe even the world.
