Down-on-his-luck teenager Ronny is down to his last few pennies, jobless and three days away from needing to pay rent. So when he sees a help wanted sign in the window of a peculiar antique shop in the International District, he decides he has nothing to lose. After getting the job, he realizes that the job description isn't quite accurate to his everyday work. The employee handbook says nothing about what to do if a tanuki pays with a dead maple leaf, nor did the interviewer mention that escaped shades may try to steal from the clearance rack. Now, with both his life and his rent on the line, Ronny desperately needs to make ends meet before something else makes him meat.
