About
This atmospheric noir narrative follows a disillusioned, identity-weary operative on a train ride to a small town for a mysterious hit/surveillance assignment. Haunted by his past and obsessed with a woman he views as a symbol of peace, his mission takes a tragic and ironic turn when blind chance collides with his fixation. The unnamed protagonist wakes up on a train, exhausted and deeply cynical about his life as an operative. Years of living behind false identities and executing "dirty" assignments have stripped him of his illusions, driving him to alcoholism and a desire for escape. To cope with his grim reality, the operative fixates on memories of a woman with chestnut hair whom he used to stalk in the city. To him, she represents an idealized world of innocence, hope, and forgiveness.
