The sun died out, sky oozed into dusk. A phone started ringing it’s way out past the horizon. Split across the whole country—Angelina Carter stuck in Los Angeles, Paige Bennett over in Pennsylvania, Lydia Austin chilling in California—the three of them shot awake as one dead on midnight, each in their own bed. Something was well off. This was no coincidence. They had nothing in common save for the fact that they were all bound for the same college to study the same major.
