Caleb has a great life on Cinnabar Island with his loving family and their pokemon. I mean who else gets to go on expeditions with a scientist and a treasure hunter? Lately he's been feeling it's time to take his first steps on a path of his own, where ever that takes him. Expect: *A long fiction. *A MC who wants to try everything and find his path, he's not the smartest, or strongest. No special godgiven meta knowledge. He'll make mistakes and learn from them. *Digging deeper into Kanto and Johto, their routes, cities and history. *An AU where some concepts, characters, plotlines and mechanics from the different Pokémon media come into play. I'm willing to use everything as inspiration but won't be tied down to *cannon* storylines. Author's note: This is my first creative writing project in forever, it's a project born of love for the Pokemon universe, and the thrill I get reading many a fan fiction from talented authors on this site. I have to credit Gumigan's "Your very own" the fanfic that lit the fire in me to get off the sidelines and try my hand at writing my own. I hope to learn more about the writing craft and discover Caleb's story chapter by chapter. *The cover art was created with AI assistance, but one of my students said he can't let me live like this and is working on a better cover. Author note: ARC 1 IS OFFICIALLY DONE! 50k words and a lot of learning on my part. I'm excited to keep on going. ARC 2 Should start releasing on the 8th of July, I'm taking a small break after both interludes! I plan to be a bit more organized with my uploading schedule now that I've gotten into rhythm and have more of a process. Expect new chapters every Wednesday! An unexpected, week-long work trip has delayed my writing and the release of the new chapter, it's also given me a lot of fuel and a research opportunity for the upcomming arc.
