The Scholar is a minor and unimportant figure in the heavenly divine cult, he’s abandoned his name and family legacy to find peace studying the scriptures in the cult archives, but a chance encounter with the heavenly demon herself sets fates gears turning and pushes The Scholar out into a world bigger and more dangerous than he could imagine. This is going to be a Wuxia story about a trans lesbian being pushed into the circumstances that force her to retake agency in her life and accept long suppressed facts about herself. I hope to write fairly rapidly and have the story be relatively concise. It’s also the venue through which I express my long held belief that series using the heavenly demon cult as a concept are cowardly for abandoning the historical manichean roots of the cult as is intended in their originating appearances in legend of the condor heroes. As such the cult is represented less as a great villainous or evil organization and more practicers of a once influential but now smaller but still with great martial strength fringe religion with beliefs that incorporate elements of Buddhism, christianity and also their own original elements that have a lot of similarities to other religions of the region at the time such as Zoroastrianism.
