Unlike everywhere else in the world, the counsellors of Ardour negotiate with ‘clients’, a small percentage of humans who, after experiencing great emotional trauma, transform into monsters as tall as buildings. It’s a profession that is still being perfected, but Maggie is eager to do what is right. So when clients start mysteriously going missing, Maggie decides she needs to do something about it.
