About

Attending a new school your final year of high school sucks, but Adam is willing to make the most of his scholarship to the ritzy Cypress Prep Academy. And it’s not like he isn’t familiar with the place; his long-time debate team rival, Max, has been a student there since freshmen year. The two boys are always at one another’s throats in every competition. How are they going to play nice when Adam has to join the same team for once? Max knows Adam is a threat to his status as captain of the debate team and wants to do everything he can to maintain his position. But when Adam becomes the subject of bullying from other students, Max can’t help but stick up for him. Max’s dad doesn’t like the idea of Max befriending the openly gay Adam – and lets his anger be known. This just pushes Max more to Adam’s defense and the two find that they may be more than rivals. And more than friends.
