The great clock tower falters for the first time in living memory, and with it, something stirs in the dark beneath the Veilspine Range. When a buried chamber is unearthed at the excavation site, Selene follows her adopted father into the depths, unaware that what waits below has been waiting for her. A single touch of a broken sword changes everything. The night that follows consumes the camp, the people she loves, and the girl she used to be. From ash and blood something rises in her place bound to a blade older than civilization and wearing the face of a man she killed. Now hunted she fights not for survival, but for the hardest prize of all: Herself. ---- This story features multiple third-person POV characters. It reads more as a 'novel' than a web novel. The first 7 chapters are kinda slow. After that, it can get intense "in a good way." I wouldn't consider it light reading. Also, here and there, a couple of good fight scenes. Overall, nothing too serious. Just very fun to write.
