About

Varis Decan was born and raised in a remote village within the Eriban Forest, a young and rather inexperienced druid mastering the art of natural magics and tending to the forest itself. The past several months he's become plagued by nightmares of fire and smoke, but otherwise life is rather mundane for Varis and the others around him. No matter how much he tries to stick with the normalcy he's known his entire life, the effects of the nightmare are getting worse. After a life changing event, Varis becomes the bearer an insurmountable burden. With no way to return to normal, the path ahead is covered in ash. Hey there! I guess this is as good a place to put this as any. This is my first time writing (to this extent) in ~10 years, and after much deliberation I've decided to post Wildfire here chapter by chapter. I'll post as I finish chapters, and I'm not that great at writing so forgive me if it's rough! This felt like a good place to post and gather feedback/learning.
